The joy of the new age is a state of understanding our place in the great pattern of things, in order to embrace a greater awareness.

A joy-filled consciousness is the key to enhanced participation in the new age. Most people go about their daily lives never realizing what they have been missing. Rushing through the hours, worrying and fretting over circumstances they may never be able to change.

Wasting life in this fashion is akin to someone giving you the keys to a brand new car, but you refuse to believe or accept the fact that it is actually sitting out there in the driveway. A shiny new car that is waiting for you to simply climb in and experience the thrill of the ride.

Replace Anxiety with Joy

Have you ever noticed that you can be experiencing a mental “low” for hours at a time, yet when you walk into a room or talk to someone on the phone or online that is filled with joy, you suddenly realize that you are no longer feeling down?

The morphogenetic fields were advanced by Rupert Sheldrake, a renowned biochemist. Humankind, in general, possesses a special DNA energy field. Call it a social gathering field. In short, we are influenced by each other, so that is why we feel better when someone who is joyful is within our receptor zones.

Become Aware of Mood Changes

Realizing abrupt changes of consciousness from high to low points can provide the basis for natural mindset builders. Raising the levels of energy when we most desire it can be a tremendous life skill. Meeting the in-laws, having that meeting with the boss, even performing an undesirable, but necessary daily task; virtually anything we have been dreading can be enhanced by injecting the experience with joy.

Applying a sense of humor can also help enhance the mood. The Healing Code, a New York Times bestseller, explores this connection between stress, the emotions and disease, as well as the ability to experience joy.

Become Proactive

Decide to deliberately inject joy into your daily life. One day, when feeling blue, I sat down on the porch swing. Almost as if responding to me, a beautiful butterfly circled and fluttered down on my toe. With its gorgeous wings leisurely floating up and down, the lovely thing simply sat there for several minutes.

I thought about what a butterfly does and the cocoon it emerges from. Suddenly I could sense myself being filled with the joy of nature. Just like that I was once again experiencing a childlike awe at this stunning little creature of the world. How wonderful and how free I felt. Decide to inject this kind of inner child pleasure into your everyday life. Pick a friend or two, and agree to swap daily e-mails to tell each other what gives you joy each day. See what it brings you. Pass it around, hopefully it will catch on.

Increase Your Joy Capacity

Try meditating on joy. For instance, go into a light meditation and simply visualize a large white bubble of joy hovering over the top of your head. Then, see it bursting forth into many little bubbles of radiant light. Literally feel the light bubbles floating down over you, touching the top of your head, caressing your shoulders, your heart and enrobing your total body in joy-filled light. Notice how you feel instantly lighter?

Those of us that are becoming aware of the finer energies of the earth plane easily embrace the new age consciousness. We can see how thoughts are things, enabling lifestyle pattern changes. The drawing of joy-filled vibrations regularly into our special DNA energy fields may enable us to increase our personal capacity for joy and to access it on an “as needed” basis.
